During the early 2000s, Henri Bendel bags soared in popularity, and the brand even won an Accessories Council Excellence Award in 2010. L Brands, the company’s owner since 1985, ultimately shuttered the Henri Bendel department stores and website in 2019 in order to put resources toward growing the other brands in its portfolio such as Victoria’s Secret.
