About the Item

Three design-quality illustrations of Hahn (Steyr-Hahn) brand Air Pellet Pistols by Edward T. Liljenwall (American, 1943-2010). Each pistol is expertly rendered, with smooth shading and specific details. Proto-type design of a Hahn co2 Pellgun pistol he created as a school project, current examples use this similar design as it turns out. Highlights to the metal are added in gouache, creating a realistic looking reflection. Upper and lower illustrations are signed "Liljenwall" Each drawing measures 8.5"H x 15.5"W Mounting board measures 29"H x 18"W Edward T. Liljenwall (American, 1943-2010) attended Pasadena City College and later graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles in 1967 with a BS in industrial design. He worked as an automotive designer before joining the Hewlitt-Packard design team and was largely responsible for designing the HP-35 Pocket Calculator, the first one of its kind. Liljenwall was awarded several patents for his design work while employed with HP.

    Very good to excellent condition. Center illustration has a crease in the lower right corner. Some mild wrinkling from glue used by the artist to apply the drawings to the mounting board.
