Queen Anne's lace flowers fill the countryside. Soft whites, golds, oranges, and greens enhance the presence of the swaying wildflowers. Artist Theresa Andreas-O'Leary embeds ephemera to create subtle movement in the summertime scene.
About the Artist
Artist Theresa Andreas-O'Leary works with mixed media to capture landscapes that evoke memories. She lived in multiple countries with her children, including the USA, Canada, South Africa, England, and France. Traveling shaped her perspective and continues to influence her art. The places she visits often become subjects in her paintings. "I am an observer, and I find inspiration meandering through parks, refuges, and forests," says Theresa. Her well-lit studio has a bathroom, a kitchenette, and walls filled with books and photos. She listens to her boombox while she paints, often with her dog by her side. When not doing art, Theresa enjoys hiking, going to the beach, and cooking. Some of her paintings are permanently displayed in hospitals, hotels, and a city hall.
