This Lot of Manuscripts by Afro Basaldella to the Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci Blunt is composed by three autograph card written and signed by the Italian artist between 1951 and 1970. In Italian. In perfect condition, with the original envelopes included. In detail: - An Autograph Card of request and invitation Signed. Rome, May 13th 1951. - A Autograph Card Signed. Rome, January 3th 1970. A really touching autograph note of greetings written during the last and precarious health years of the artist: "Ho ritrovato in questa triste occasione gli amici di un tempo più vicini". - An Happy New Year Autograph Card Signed. Rome, January 2nd 1967 Afro Libio Basaldella (March 4, 1912 – July 24, 1976) Afro Libio Basaldella, generally known by the single name Afro. was an Italian painter in the post-war period, working together with Alberto Burri and Lucio Fontana, and beginning as a member of the Scuola Romana.

An international world was been born in Rome, in which artists and intellectuals like Afro, Mirko, Cagli Mafai, Guttuso and Capogrossi, Severini, Martini, Janni, Melli, Ziveri, Pirandello, Savinio graviteted. At the sime time the Countess, organised literary presentations by writers like Cecchi, Moravia, Montale, lectures by Valéry and Mauriac; music night by Stravinskij, Petrassi, Milhaud, Honegger, Poulenc, Auric.
