"I am particularly drawn to the delicate beauty of hummingbirds and butterflies," says Karen. Her paintings are created through a blend of observation, imagination, photography, and research. Using both brushwork and a palette knife, she manipulates the paint to create contrasting colors and textures. From bold expressions to subtle color nuances and intricate details, her work is represented in galleries across the United States. When she's not painting, Karen enjoys tending to her flower garden and baking artisanal breads.
