Salvita Salim De Corte is a Bali-born artist and actor of Indonesian, German, and Indian heritage whose emotionally charged paintings explore intimacy, memory, and the psychological complexity of human relationships. Raised in a deeply creative environment by artist parents, De Corte turned to painting following the passing of her father, himself a painter, inheriting not only his studio but also the brushes and blank canvases he left behind. What began as an act of grief and catharsis gradually evolved into a contemplative and deeply personal visual language. Working between figuration and abstraction, De Corte paints bodies and portraits that hover between presence and disappearance.
