Joan Saló (Igualada, 1983) is an artist who lives and works in Berlin. He obtained his degree in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona in 2006 and continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy. His work has been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions, both individual and collective. Among his individual exhibitions, the following stand out: "Umbra, Penumbra, Antumbra", at Taubert Contemporary in Berlin, Germany (2023); "Hypnagogia", at the Cementiri d'Igualada in Spain (2022); "Dark Matter", at Taubert Contemporary in Berlin, Germany (2020); "In Ascolto", with a dialogue with a work by Giorgio Morandi, at Maurizio Caldirola Gallery in Monza, Italy (2018); "Hic-Stans", at N2 Gallery in Barcelona, Spain (2016); "Nunc-Stans", at Maurizio Caldirola Gallery in Monza, Italy (2015); "Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur", at CCA Andratx in Mallorca, Spain (2014). Some of the collective projects in which he has participated include: "Hin und Her" at Kunstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, Germany (2023); "Long Time no see", at Taubert Contemporary in Berlin, Germany (2021); "Le Lucky", at HVW8 Gallery in Berlin, Germany (2019); "Dark was the Night", at CCA Andratx in Mallorca, Spain (2018); "Between the Lines", at Michele Mariaud Gallery in New York, USA (2017); and "Above and Below", at Galerie Derouillon in Paris, France (2015). In addition, in 2018 he participated in the CCA Andratx Residency Programme in Andratx, Mallorca.
