"Floral Float" is an original expressive water lily painting by French artist Natalya Mougenot, inspired by Claude Monet, created on heavyweight professional acid-free paper and measuring. Protected with varnish, it combines acrylic paints and acrylic pens to create a luminous, layered surface with a vibrant sense of movement.
This artwork reflects Natalya Mougenot’s unique style through freedom of expression, spontaneous gesture, and intuitive creation. Rather than aiming for strict realism, she lets color, line, and emotion flow naturally, giving the painting a sincere, alive, and highly personal character. As Natalya says, “My art is rooted in honesty and authenticity, values that are also central to metamodernism.”
Inspired by Monet’s iconic water lily theme, Floral Float transforms the subject into a contemporary, energetic interpretation. The bright pink blossoms, floating forms, and fluid brushwork evoke a sense of lightness and rhythm while keeping the artist’s hand fully visible. Natalya’s approach reflects her belief in freedom of expression, spontaneous intuitive creation, and the honest presence of the artist’s hand.
Because it is painted on paper in A3 format, this artwork is easy to frame with many ready-made options. It works beautifully in a slim modern frame for a clean contemporary look, a natural wood frame for a softer organic feel, or a classic white or black frame for a timeless gallery-style presentation.
For more decorative interiors, an elegant gold or light oak frame can enhance its floral energy and painterly character. This makes it especially suitable for art lovers who appreciate expressive floral and impressionist-inspired paintings, as well as interiors that seek color, softness, and artistic vitality, including living rooms, bedrooms, creative studios, and refined contemporary spaces.
