About the Item

This hand-painted piece by Lucchetta is part of the op art series where he is able to catch movement with his unique technique. Lucchetta is challenging himself. His precise stable hand can be sometimes mistaken for the work of a machine, a printer. But if you look close enough you are able to see that it is a work of a line master!! This piece comes framed in a golden wooden frame that Lucchetta makes himself (see images). The measurements of the work with the frame is 43X43 cm. Op art masters from the 20's century that are an inspiration to Lucchetta's pieces are Victor Vasarely, Brigit Riley, Josef Albers and more. Roebrto also accepts commissions by size and colors. Geometric abstract contemporary acrylic painting by Houston, TX artist Mark Flood. The piece depicts geometric blocks of shapes in a striking red-and-black contrast. The artist signed the piece on the back of the canvas. Artist Biography: Mark Flood is a contemporary American artist. Working in an irreverent interdisciplinary practice, Flood’s work strives to critique society, specifically targeting the art market and its institutions. Among his best-known works is his Lace Paintings series, consisting of technically inventive and delicate compositions. Getting his start designing concert posters and flyers, Flood credits Joseph Cornell as an inspiration for his approach to collage and appropriation. He has exhibited with Zach Feuer gallery in New York, and his work can be found in the collections of the Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Menil Collection...
