About the Item

In Pleasant Memories, the artist explores a quiet inner emotional state shaped by my personal feelings and by observing nature. The painting conveys warmth, love, tenderness, and a sense of emotional comfort. It is not about flowers - It is about love. Within the abstract composition, a bouquet can be intuitively perceived. It is not a literal floral image, but an emotional impression expressed through layered textures, soft transitions, and organic, floral-like forms. I work intuitively, allowing color and texture to emerge naturally in response to my inner state during the painting process.", said Tatiana about this artwork. The muted, harmonious palette and expressive surface create a calm, positive atmosphere. The work remains intentionally abstract, inviting the viewer to connect through their own associations and emotions. The painting is presented in a minimalist silver frame, which enhances its contemporary character and perfectly complements the composition. It is ready to hang. Tatiana Hellum lives and works in Oslo, Norway. Originally from Central Asia, she grew up under vast skies and radiant light that shaped her natural sensitivity to color and movement. Born in Almaty, she spent her childhood in Kazakhstan and later studied in Russia, where she earned a PhD in biology. For nearly twenty years she has lived in Norway, where the calm northern light and the silence of nature have deeply influenced her artistic vision. Tatiana’s art reflects a dialogue between two worlds — the warmth and vibrancy of her southern roots and the quiet luminosity of the North. Her family has long artistic traditions: her great-grandfather was an icon painter, and her maternal uncle is a professional artist. Though her early career was in science, her fascination with life’s invisible structures gradually evolved into a passion for painting. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, she creates layered abstractions where rhythm, texture, and light form an emotional landscape. Her intuitive technique — combining palette knife, glazing, and transparent layering — bridges precision and spontaneity, resulting in works that feel both dynamic and contemplative. Tatiana’s artistic direction has been guided by curator and artist Nadya Stupina, whose mentorship helped her refine her intuitive practice into a mature and distinctive voice. She has participated in group exhibitions in Norway, and her works are held in private collections both locally and abroad. An avid traveler, Tatiana draws inspiration from the natural rhythms and atmospheric moods of the places she visits — from vast northern skies to quiet southern horizons. Her art embodies a fusion of depth and luminosity — a meeting of science and sensitivity, intellect and intuition, warmth and light. The team of curators of the Art-S-Gallery.

Abstract Flower Garden Original Impasto Floral Painting Contemporary Wall Art on Canvas This original abstract floral painting captures the energy and richness of a blooming garden through a bold impasto technique and expressive brushwork. Rather than depicting a literal landscape, the artwork translates the essence of a flower garden into dynamic layers of color, texture, and movement. Vibrant greens, soft pinks, warm reds, and touches of white emerge from a deep, contrasting background, creating a sense of depth and atmospheric complexity. The composition evokes the feeling of walking through a dense, lively garden at the height of its bloom—where flowers, stems, and light dissolve into one another. Thick applications of oil paint form sculptural textures on the canvas surface, giving the piece a tactile, almost three-dimensional quality. This impasto floral painting emphasizes spontaneity and emotion, aligning with contemporary abstract art and modern expressionist approaches. Executed in oil on canvas, the artwork showcases rich layering and palette knife techniques typical of impasto painting. The surface catches light differently from every angle, making it especially engaging in interior spaces with natural or directional lighting. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, not a print or reproduction, appealing to collectors of abstract painting, contemporary floral art, textured wall art, and expressive modern decor. It fits seamlessly into interiors styled in modern, contemporary, or eclectic aesthetics.
