About the Item

In this surreal story, a little angel in red sits at the edge of his own memories — in a fountain where the water flows as purely as a child’s soul. Gentle flowers surround him like the hidden warmth and joy of early years. Above him glows a soft moonlight — guarding not the path itself, but its echo: those moments of childhood that never die, but quietly live within an adult heart. The angel sits in stillness, balanced between past and present, between the boundless love he once felt and the unfamiliar solitude of adulthood. With time we seem to lose something invisible — that ability to rejoice in the simple, to feel that the universe breathes with us, instead of us chasing after it. The Bible says: “Be like children…” — and this angel reminds us that childlike purity never disappears; it merely hides deeper within. Sometimes all we need is to pause and look inside ourselves — and there, we may find that quiet red glow that once was an entire world. The moonlight above the little angel becomes a kind of guiding star. It does not forbid us to grow older, but gently asks us not to forget who we were when our hearts were lighter than a feather. True loneliness comes not when we are alone, but when we can no longer hear the inner child who still sits in the fountain of our memories, plays with the water, and believes that love is both the simplest and the most essential thing. The painting is also stretched on a wooden stretcher. You can clearly see this in the photos. It is fully ready for hanging — it has hooks on the back for attaching a cord, so you can hang it on the wall right away. The edges are also painted, which is clearly visible in the photographs. Please note that the interior image shows the painting in a frame only as a visualization. The actual artwork has painted edges, so it can be hung on the wall without any need for framing. This painting already carries a profound history, as it took part in the "Landentity" exhibition held this October in Kyiv. The exhibition explored the theme of birthplace, as well as the experience of moving to another country or another city within Ukraine. It reflected the personal insights and emotions the artist encountered while creating this work. Later, we also had the opportunity to speak with visitors and hear their own reflections in response to our story. The painting is signed on the lower edge of the stretcher.
