Tracy Spadafora has spent the past 25 years exploring the complex and evolving relationship between humans and the environment through diverse series of artwork. She has worked with a variety of mediums, including encaustic, oil, pastel, and found objects, to create intriguing paintings, drawings, and assemblage pieces that address the wonder of nature and the shaping of our natural environment. Spadafora states, “I create new “landscapes” that embody the persistence of nature and the detritus of our place and time, acting as a record of the human footprint on our environment.”
