About the Item

In this canvas the author invites us to explore an inner world that transcends the mere physical representation of an architectural space. In the center of the composition, an imposing arch emerges, a fragment of the Cathedral of Cuenca, Spain. This architectural element, although recognizable, has undergone a radical transformation. Instead of being shown in its original splendor, it is presented in monochromatic tones, almost in black and white. This stylistic choice is not fortuitous; on the contrary, it serves to enhance the impact of the central motif of the work. The contrast between the austere exterior and the flaming interior is palpable. Inside the arch, we encounter a burst of vibrant, moving color. The brushstrokes seem to dance on the surface, creating a sense of restrained fury, a frenzy of emotions overflowing into every corner of the canvas. The spots of color, with their fiery appearance, become the epicenter of the work, attracting our gaze and challenging our interpretation.
