Bill Bate is a contemporary figurative artist. He was trained at the prestigious Central Saint Martins School of Art in London and developed the knowledge and understanding of his practice. His atmospheric paintings focus both on the uses of dramatic lighting and above all on the human form and are emotional responses to the body in movement, at rest, and the body observed. Bate's work has a broad range of influences from Caravaggio to Alma Tadema and Rothko.

This abstract painting contains Jon Rowland's signature gestural mark making techniques, with bright colours and a complex composition this would make statement in any home. Wychwood Art have exhibited Jon Rowland in London during a pop-up exhibition of theirs at the Darren Baker Gallery. His paintings have been displayed at the Royal Academy and at the Berthold and Darren Baker Gallery in London. He has also exhibited in group exhibitions at Linacre and Green Colleges, at Swann Gallery in Woodstock, and with Wychwood Art at Battersea Art Fair. He was one of six contemporary artists who took part in an exhibition of views of Blenheim Palace, juxtaposing the original visions with today's, as part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Capability Brown's birth.
