About the Item

Ink & linocut on paper - sold with a frame 39 x 37 x 4 cm Nina Narimanishvili is a Georgian artist born in 1999 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. Nina has been painting since childhood and over time her interest in art has grown steadily. She first started working on canvas using acrylic but it became interesting for Nina to use others techniques like the handmade paper she makes herself in creating new textures. When you ask her what art means to her, she will answer: “Art is a process and without it I cannot imagine myself. My source of inspiration are people with their own emotions expressed or not. I like to present everything as if there were no defined parameters and I focus on the part that seems most important to me. With passion, I paint beautifully! It is important to draw something that may not look so good at first glance but to wrap it with aesthetics. Everything I see in my imagination transforms and I involuntarily think of arranging everything as I want."

Eva's Legacy, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova

Eva's Legacy, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova

By Tetiana Pchelnykova

Located in Zofingen, AG

This painting is an attempt to blend ancient symbols, contemporary understanding of feminine essence, and profound philosophical contemplations inspired by existentialism and phenomenology. The woman, represented in the image of Eve, stands as an eternal symbol of the beginning of life and the mother of all humanity. Symbols on her body, derived from the idols of the Trypillian culture, speak to the age-old connection of our people with nature, land, and spirituality. The Tree of Life with its apples embodies the immortal bond with lineage and ancestors, as well as a reflection on existence, self-awareness in the world, and relations with others. Existentialist and phenomenological philosophies emphasize individual experience and perception of the world, which are perfectly captured in this painting. Each apple represents a memory passed down from generation to generation, a reminder of roots that deeply reach into the history of our people, and contemplations about our place in the universe.
