About the Item

This charming study captures a family or group of friends at play in an expansive green meadow, where dogs race through the grass and lively ball games unfold. Figures lounge, sit, and roll freely on the ground, their relaxed movements conveying a sense of ease and companionship. In the near distance, a tight cluster of cottages and farm buildings anchors the scene, while a solitary figure walks toward the gathering, drawing the viewer into the heart of the composition. Executed in muted tones beneath an overcast English sky, the work evokes the gentle intimacy and quiet pleasures of rural life. On board. Image size: 57 x 74cm.
