In 1997 He completed the design and painting of the new church of St. Rev. Paraskeva-Petka Tarnovsky near Sofia, which became the beginning of many years of work in the field of Orthodox art. Among the largest iconic objects: Holy Trinity Church in Rzhishchev, Kiev region (2004-2011), in which 1,500 square meters. m of paintings using cold encaustic technique, as well as the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary of the Alexander Convent in Odessa Region (2011-2012). Ivan Shishman held 12 solo exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. With an exhibition of 58 works, the artist opened the International Congress of the Intellectual Elite in Sofia (1996). He took part in 9 international open-air symposiums on painting, where he represented the fine art of Ukraine. The works of I. Shishman adorn the hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, museums, galleries and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Austria, Serbia, Germany, Israel, Bulgaria, the USA, France, Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden. For achievements in the field of fine art, Ivan Shishman was awarded government awards, as well as diplomas of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Orthodox Church. Married, has 8 children, three of whom have multiple diplomas at the international and all-Ukrainian painting competitions. The artist’s artworks are owned in collections worldwide.
