Since August 2018 Sietse W. Jonker belongs to the group of artists that we permanently represent in our stock-exposition. In mid-2019, this still-life artist will take part in a group exhibition devoted to still life in painting. His work can be seen all year round and for sale through our gallery. To get to know us, we visited the artist in his studio in Leeuwarden. a centrally located donkey and a window on the Noorderlicht dominate the space together with the still life that he is currently working on. According to the artist, a still life should not be 'made to look', in the final painting it should ultimately be an ordered harmony. The artist himself: That is not always easy and sometimes I am busy with all kinds of objects here in the house. Every now and then something comes up or something is taken away again until I am satisfied. Usually I have a vague idea of ​​what I want, but to give that 'vague idea' a concrete form is quite difficult.
