He trained at the Escola de la Llotja in Barcelona, one of the most important artistic institutions in Catalonia, where he received a solid academic foundation. His work is characterized by elegance, restraint and pictorial sensitivity. Far from radical avant-garde experimentation, Mallol Suazo developed a refined personal language based on atmosphere, structure, light and balance. He painted female figures, interiors, still lifes and landscapes, always with a careful sense of composition and a subtle emotional tone.
