About the Item

Artist Comments
Capturing the timeless majesty of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, this painting conveys the rugged beauty of the Oregon coastline. The structure stands as a steadfast guardian against the passage of time. It perches on a rocky outcrop high above a beach strewn with stones. Waves roll in from the vast expanse, their rhythmic motion pulsing against the shoreline. Seagulls fly across the green and brown cliffs, while soft, hazy light bathes the scene.

About the Artist
Artist Steve Boggs captures the interplay of light and form in his layered, atmospheric, and still-life paintings. His artistic journey started with an accident. "I stumbled upon a book by an oil painter, and something clicked in my head - for the first time, I looked at a real professional painting and could see how it was done," says Steve. In his works, he seeks to balance realism with creative interpretation. Steve paints in a spacious and organized studio above his garage in Hendersonville, Tennessee. When not creating art, he enjoys perfecting Neapolitan and Roman pizzas, cooking Mediterranean and Southern barbecue, and continually honing his guitar skills.
