About the Item

This is a unique photographic work taken by Andy Warhol. Jon Gould and Andy Warhol met in 1980 when Warhol was 51 and Gould was a 27-year-old movie executive living in Los Angeles. Biographies of Warhol show he tried to impress Gould with glamorous outings at Studio 54 and expensive gifts, including a Rolex watch. Bob Colacello is a writer and a regular contributor to Vanity Fair Magazine. The former editor of Interview Magazine, Colacello was first approached by Andy Warhol after publishing a positive review of Warhol's film Trash in 1970. For the next 12 years, he would remain integrally involved in the daily goings-on at The Factory. Image dimensions: 10 x 8 in. Framed dimensions: 18.125 x 16.625 in. Work is framed to archival standards by Handmade Frames of Brooklyn, New York. Authenticated by The Andy Warhol Authentication Board, Inc. Comes with an Authentication Letter.
