From the series of Lights of New York
The splendor of the city, the dazzling lights, the high brilliant buildings, ... to be strong and wealthy, ... I am a part of it, I too ... how weak and frail I am compared to it ... The two opposing perspectives of the city of New York are in my perception. Pleasure and fear clash with delusion, as if at opposite ends of the gondola creating rapid oscillations and you have to be fast or you will lose control. and a query to the residents of the city, "I take it that way, how about you?" - Hatice Besun
