Picasso with Bettina and Umbrella -- Photographed for LIFE in 1955 in his new Cannes Villa, La Californie, Picasso celebrates his Fashion debut by clowning around with an umbrella. Top French Model, Bettina Graziani wears an outfit by American Fashion Designer Claire McCardell. The shirt's pattern is in the style of a Picasso still life. All the Picasso paintings pictured had been completed within the past few months. Image size is 10" x 15" (for 11" x 17" paper size).
