#1 ,So don't be a like a feather in the wind, The Divine Comedy, The Paradise. monotype with hand coloring in ink. Unique. From a new series of 7 monoprints with hand coloring inspired by Dante Alighieri's poetic opus, The Divine Comedy. The abstract works on paper created in a range of tones from golden-tan to midnight-blue, are speckled with carborundum and ink on Somerset paper, and are reminiscent of our eternal sky. The paper was first printed in San Francisco in 2020, and then painted with ink and completed in Paris in 2021. This light and elegant monotype has delicately applied ink dots in various colors, blue, yellow, brick, and green on the top layer is this thick luxurious Somerset paper from a historic French paper mill. The quote from The Divine Comedy is hand written by the artist at the bottom of the image. Paper is 30 X 23 / Image is 22 X 15. Museum quality white ash wood frame is 33 x 26 inches x 1 1/2 inches deep. Beautiful hanging alone or with other prints from the series.
