About the Item

Composition is an original Contemporary artwork realized in the 1978 by the Italian artist Guido Strazza. Original B/W Etching on paper. Image Dimensions: 19 x 11 cm Hand-signed and dated on the lower right corner: Strazza 78. Numbered on the lower-left corner in pencil: VI/XII. Good conditions except for some stains. Composition is an excellent abstract artwork realized in the second half of the XX Century. Guido Strazza (Santa Fiora, 21 dicembre 1922). In 2008 the Graphic Museum of Palazzo Lanfranchi in Pisa dedicated a large anthological exhibition to him for his fifty years of artistic activity. He is a member of the Belgian Royal Flemish Academy for Sciences and Arts, Brussels and the National Institute of Roman Studies. Since 1997 he has been a member of the National Academy of San Luca, of which he was Academic Advisor and President in the two-year period 2011-2012. In 2014 he was awarded the prestigious De Sica Prize for the visual arts. In 2015 he was awarded the Provisino d'oro civic honor by the Municipality of Santa Fiora, his birthplace. In 2017 the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome dedicated a large anthological exhibition to him. Now he lives and works in Rome.
