Vertical stripes of buttercup yellow and cloud blue are each separated from the other by a mere whisper of white canvas. The verticals appear to breathe rhythmically against the picture plane in this homage to American painter Agnes Martin. They evoke Martin's delicate, meticulously penciled grid works and her pursuit of inner peace.
