Another front view of the same chair + Cinerary urn in marble Artist proof, printed on contemporary laid paper, wide margins. Two Piranesi’s Etching on the same sheet, with good contrasts and sharp details, signed on plate “Piranesi F.” “Cavalier Piranesi del. e inc.” lower-left corner. With a detailed description. and capture concerning the subject and his provenance. “Cinerary Urn in marble” is dedicated to “Signor Cavaliere Arthur Boyer”. From the serie “Vases and Candelabras (…)” etched by G.B. Piranesi, printed by his son Francesco. In very good conditions, with normal fold and some little binding holes on left margin. Giovanni Battista Piranesi Undoubtedly Piranesi was one of the most important engravers in 18th century even if he was well-known as an architect and an archaeologist: the greatest engraver in the period from Rembrandt a Goya. The generations after him have continued to imagine the Ancient Rome as the artist has portrayed his magnificent in "Vedute". References: L.
