RANDOM SELECTION 2 is an original hand drawn limited edition lithograph by the British artist, Michael Hasted printed using hand lithography on archival Somerset paper, 100% acid free. RANDOM SELECTION 2 is a surrealist composition depicting a window view of a blue sky, puffy white clouds and mountain visible as you look out, while a slice of scenery featuring a starry night sky landscape rests on the wood planked floor inside, with concrete walls lining the interior space. A fascinating and mysterious image to contemplate.... Print size - 22.25 x 18 in., unframed excellent condition, pencil signed by Michael Hasted Edition Size - 250, plus proofs Year Published - 1980 Printer - JK Fine Art Editions Co., NY In addition to painting, Mr. Hasted has worked for may years as a writer and theater director, journalist and photographer. It was in the early 1970s when he took up illustration and painting and produced over 300 book jackets and magazine illustrations including for Playboy with whom he worked for 20 years. His artistic style is reminiscent of the renowned Surrealist painter Rene Magritte. In Hasted's world the scenery -- symbolic of nature and the stars occupies center stage, as if to remind us that the things truly worth looking at are the ones we take for granted. His paintings have been exhibited extensively in Europe, Japan and America and are in public collections in England, France, Greece and USA.
