About the Item

‘Drafting’ depicts a group of road cyclists. It is a 5 colour multi-block linocut print. This means that the artist carved a tile of lino for each colour you see in the image. The print is a triptych – 3 separate prints that are shown alongside one another to complete the image. As is typical of Lisa Takahashi’s approach, the image has been simplified into simple shapes that overlap and lay side by side. Lisa Takahashi is available online and in our gallery at Wychwood Art. Lisa is known for her bold cycling linocut prints and has exhibited and sold out of the editions on 2 previous occasions at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. ‘Drafting’ is her largest and most ambitious print to date. It is an edition of 30. The framed work measures 80cm x 150cm x 3cm (square, neutral cream frame)
