About the Item

This 5.5" x 8.5" ceramic wall sculpture was created by Brian Bosworth. This is a contemporary piece that demonstrates sophisticated glazing techniques and compositional balance. The work is constructed as a single angular form, roughly trapezoidal/wedge-shaped, that projects from the wall. The composition is divided into two distinct sections. The left portion features a lava glaze, a specialized ceramic glaze known for creating highly textured, volcanic-like surfaces. This section displays a complex palette of mottled greens, browns, and earth tones with a heavily pitted and bubbled surface texture characteristic of lava glazes. The right section presents a bold geometric composition using underglazes in horizontal stripes. The color palette consists of alternating bands in warm golden yellow/ochre, soft pink, and cream/off-white tones. Brian Bosworth is a sculptor and ceramicist whose work explores the space between structure and sensation-between the built world and the natural one. Drawing on influences from mid-century architecture, brutalism, and minimalism, his forms are at once austere and emotive, grounded and ethereal.

'Untitled Assemblage #S3-23', by John Wolfe, Mixed Media Abstract Sculpture

Located in Oklahoma City, OK

John Wolfe's Mixed Media Abstract Sculpture, "Untitled Assemblage #S 3-23" brings together wood, steel, ceramic elements, and acrylic paint. The warm colors of the wood and painted ceramic elements soften the feel of the rectilinear arrangement. The shallow depth of the work gives the sculpture a kind of "drawing" quality while the shadows it casts lend a more expansive feel. The heavy, dark wood base anchors all aspects of the work in place. This work is the perfect tabletop piece. It's large enough to command attention, but also subtle in its open framework arrangement. John Wolfe was born in Vernon...
