Eileen Braun delights in creating biomorphic or organic sculptural forms. Although they may look as though they're constructed of metal rods, they're actually created from rattan reed and string. Once complete she enrobes or patinates them. She has developed a technique using liquified rubber, which makes them dust resistant--they're incredibly easy to dust--and also makes them suitable for sheltered outdoor as well as indoor display. Overall, their looks and design make them a delightful surprise to viewers.
