About the Item

This sculptural wall piece consists of two wooden segments forming a divided circle. The surface is entirely hand-carved with a dense geometric grid, creating a rhythmic, almost architectural texture that responds dynamically to light and shadow. The work is made from spruce wood and treated with controlled burning, which deepens the natural grain and introduces a restrained palette of dark browns and charcoal tones. The vertical split interrupts the perfect circular form, introducing tension, balance, and a sense of pause between the two halves. Small wooden dowels remain visible between the segments, subtly revealing the construction and emphasizing the object’s material honesty. The piece balances between abstraction and structure, evoking ideas of duality, separation, and alignment. A one-of-a-kind handcrafted sculptural wall object.
