About the Item

This wall sculpture is part of the “Tectonics” series. The work explores structure, rhythm, and the tactile qualities of carved wood. Repetitive marks form a dense surface where light and shadow interact, creating a subtle sense of movement across the relief. Through carving and controlled burning, the material reveals its natural character. The surface becomes layered and textured, with small variations that invite closer observation. The tactile quality plays a central role — the work is defined not only by its form, but by the physical presence of the material. Each element is shaped by hand, allowing irregularities and depth to emerge as part of the composition. The result is a quiet balance between order and variation, structure and spontaneity. Carved and burned wood.
