About the Item

Terracotta Sculpture by Swedish artist Evert Lindfors (1927-2016), made in the 1970s. Evert moved to France in the 1940s where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He worked from the mid-1950s as a painter in Lacoste in Provence, France. Towards the end of the 1960s, he switched to terracotta sculpture. He met his friend Torsten Renqvist in Paris in 1968, the two then worked together on sculpture in Lacoste. We can see that Evert Lindfors took inspiration from the world-famous artist Alberto Giacometto who died in 1966. signed Lindfors hight: c. 70cm (27.55 inches) width: c. 30cm (11.81 inches)
