About the Item

This Gothic-inspired knight is a wry meditation on chivalry’s sacred trinity: love, combat, and blind faith – faith in God, in Love, and in the righteousness of conquest. The armor itself becomes a cathedral; the cathedral, a suit of armor. Sergey Oganov was born in 1974 in the family of the famous Belarusian sculptor Lev Oganov. Sergey began his first steps in the world of art while still being a schoolboy, helping his father in the workshop. Graduated from the Academy of Arts named after I. E. Repina (St. Petersburg), Lev Oganov gave a great theoretical and practical basis for the further development of the talent of his son. In 1994, Sergey Oganov graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Minsk Art School named after A. K. Glebova, and then entered the Belarusian State Academy of Arts in the specialty sculpture. His teachers were the iconic Belarusian sculptors - Finnish Alexander Mikhailovich, Slobodchikov Vladimir Ivanovich. After the successful graduation of the Academy, Sergey Oganov until 2005 trained in creative workshops of paintings, graphics and sculptures under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus under the leadership of M.
