About the Item
A unique handmade sculptural coffee table. Designed after the mask of Tutankhamun. Made by Joseph Dasta. 1990. Solid cherry, aniline dye, lacquer. Hand rubbed finish. Hand planed boards. Hand cut joints. History of the table: I made this table in 1990 while a first year student at The School of the American Craftsman at Rochester Institute of Technology (formerly The Wendell Castle School). The assignment was simple, make a coffee table of your design and only use hand tools to construct it.
