Derby Bird

A Bloor Derby basket, the inside with a découpéed latice-work design, the rim garnished with a border of encrusted flowers and birds.

It mimics an embroidery pattern by Albert Gregory for Royal Crown Derby. In vivid hues, the design features birds of paradise, peacocks and bouquets of flowers.

The modeling is crisp and the colors fairly represent the birds plumage. The bottom of each piece is marked with the impressed Derby mark N51.
