French Art Deco Table Lamp by Edouard Cazaux for Degué, France, 1920s. Exceptional French Art Deco table lamp designed by Edouard Cazaux and produced by Degué, France, circa 1920s. This rare lamp features a very thick molded glass shade with a bold and highly stylized geometric Art Deco pattern, emblematic of Cazaux’s collaboration with Degué. About Degué and Edouard Cazaux Degué was the artistic name of David Guéron (1892–1950), an enigmatic and influential figure in French Art Deco glass. Born in Turkey to Spanish Jewish parents, Guéron settled in France after serving in the French Foreign Legion during World War I. Following the success of the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris, he established his glassworks in Compiègne, later opening Verrerie d’Art Degué in Paris.
