A memory of past travels to the beautiful, unspoilt and timeless Kakadu National Park in Australia's Northern Territories. The Wave By Helen Robinson [2020] The Wave is one of a series of contemporary abstracted seascapes exploring the way light interacts with sky, earth and water. This work suggests the way light reflects on the ever-changing tidal channels which make intricate patterns through areas of saltmarsh. The use of bright colour, expressive brushmarks and tonal blending present a calm scene, with the suggestion of a white wave just below the horizon.
