A wonderful set of antique hand forged Lily pattern cutlery for 12 people. This is a one date and maker service, every piece being made by Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater of London in 1917. The set is in superb condition with very little sign of wear and tear and a beautiful flowing naturalism. Each piece is engraved with a family crest of an arm holding a broken arrow and the crest can be removed if required. This sterling silver loving cup and spoon were made in England in the Victorian period and style. The cup is ornately decorated with repousse and chased work and has beaded handles and a heavy gilt washed interior and a lighter gilt finish to portions of the exterior. The cup is hallmarked by the maker' C.S. Harris & Sons Ltd of London. The ornately decorated spoon is also hallmarked and was made by Holland, Adwinkle and Slater of London. The spoon has a heavy gilt wash to the interior, and similar to the cup, a light gilt wash to the handle. Both the cup and spoon date to 1909. This set was marketed by Wilson and Gil of London as indicated by the signature inside of the leather covered fitted case.
