Romeo Gigli, Fall/Winter 1988 A tailored overcoat from Romeo Gigli’s Fall/Winter 1988 collection, illustrating the designer’s softly structured approach to menswear-inspired tailoring. Cut in muted brown wool with a subtle texture, the coat falls in a straight, elongated silhouette with a single-button closure. The oversized collar, made of deep brown mohair, adds contrast and a hint of romance to the otherwise restrained tailoring. Slit pockets sit at the hips, while the generous cut allows for fluid movement. This piece reflects Romeo Gigli’s late-1980's aesthetic—balancing androgynous elegance with unexpected, poetic detail. Labeled an Italian 42 although it fits many sizes due to the oversized cut. Approximate measurements: 21" drop shoulder, bust 50", hip width 48", arm length from shoulder seam to cuff 24" and overall length at center back without collar 44". Fully lined. Button closure. Two interior pockets. Two slit pockets at hips. Made in Italy. Very good condition.
