About the Item

Circa 1920. Europe Beautiful Art Deco shawl in densely embroidered black cotton tulle, with a beautiful transparency effect. Its shape and decoration are similar to Manila shawls from the same period, except that this one is European-made due to the presence of black tulle. Fine embroidery with large blooming flowers entwined with leafy twigs covers the entire surface. Pastel colours with a transparent effect in shades of pink, white, fuchsia, yellow, red and blue. Knotted black silk fringes on all four sides. This shawl is very durable, with no holes or stains. It is in good condition and can still be worn today. Dimensions: 130 cm x 130 cm with 35 cm fringes.
