Rare pastel blue silk day dress for the petite bourgeoisie dating from the French Consulat or the beginning of the Premier Empire. Background in gros de Naples silk with wild silk effect and variations in colour of the indigo or pastel (?) dye. Very high waist, long sleeves with small balloons at the shoulders. The bodice has a square neckline and is lined with linen and fluffy cotton. Front closure with four ties containing the chest. Sleeve lining in striped cotton. Interesting cut from the back to the back shoulders and fine pleats of the skirt raised by cords (lacunar), detail I never observed in the past.
