From Molière to the Commedia dell’Arte to David Bowie, the sad clown Pierrot has permeated global culture for centuries, as he personifies the universal human emotions of heartbreak, lovesickness and “otherness.” These spectacular oversize porcelain interpretations of the character reflect both his beauty and fragility in exquisite detail. Far more than a doll: a true work of art. Set of two poseable, articulated oversized Pierrot clown dolls with stuffed hands, feet and body and painted porcelain heads. Black and white "Silvestri" model features black and white satin jumpsuit with silver-shot white tulle collarette with black and white ribbon trim; 32” black and white ribbon “necklace” at throat.
