About the Item

Chinese Kangxi blue and white Kraak porcelain plate with silver bracket A Chinese Kangxi blue and white Kraak porcelain plate (ca. 1700) decorated with insects and rock work within panels of flowers. The plate is an export Chinese porcelain plate , made for the the Dutch (The Netherlands) The plate is with a beautiful silver bracket with a 6-sided handle with a scroll leaf pattern. Dated 1854 and made by Jacob Hendrik Schouten, Amsterdam worked during 1846-1869. The bracket is Dutch with the silver hallmarks of the lion 2 (833/1000) and the Year letter U of 1854 and Minerva head of the municipal office stamp. The silver handle was later added to the plate in the 19th century The measures are 5 and 16,5 cm high and 27,5 cm diagonal The weight is 666 gram.
