About the Item

This small marble head of the Buddha is from the Shan States of Burma and carved from white marble. The face is framed by elongated and intricately carved ears. There are faint signs of the original burgundy and black lacquer which has almost completely worn away due to the buddha's considerable age. Measures: Height with stand 26cm / height 20cm x width 20cm depth 11cm.
