This striking artifact is an antique teak fence column from Java, Indonesia, once part of a traditional cow pen enclosure. Hand-hewn from dense, old-growth teak wood, the column now stands as a sculptural relic of rural craftsmanship and utilitarian beauty. Time and the elements have bestowed upon it a rich, weathered patina, with deep surface erosion and tactile textures that speak to decades of use and exposure.
