About the Item

A handsome antique English mahogany door suitable for internal use with a French polish finish and slightly different design on either side. Beautiful in colour and design, this 170-year-old mahogany door was reclaimed from a private house in Liverpool that later became a school. It is crafted from solid mahogany and features two vertical and two horizontal panels to both sides. While the reverse is simply moulded, the front features three raised and fielded panels above a decorative panel carved with reeds and roundels with a raised and fielded octagonal panel below. We also have a similar door with a large panel for glazing - please enquire for details. A sophisticated, character door for a home study or reception room.
