About the Item

17th - 18th century French Louis XIV fireback with fleurs-de-lys (French Lillies). The fleur-de-lys is a symbol for purity and appeared on many coats of arms and flags throughout Europe. It is especially used by the house of Bourbon which provided kings for France and for Spain. The fireback is made of cast iron and has a brown patina. The fireback is in a good condition and does not have cracks.
