Victorian Hammered Brass Coal Bin with Lion Handles A wonderful Victorian-era coal bin, recently professionally polished, crafted in richly hammered brass and adorned with impressive lion motifs on each side. Both decorative and highly functional, this piece offers timeless character and bold presence. While originally intended for coal, its generous size makes it ideal for storing magazines, papers, kindling, or household items. It is perfectly suited beside a fireplace for wood storage, and would also make an attractive planter, as the bottom is not completely sealed (see images), allowing for natural drainage. A striking accent piece ready to complement modern or traditional interiors, as well as gardens, offices, or hearth settings. Please note: while the side handles are decorative and functional, carrying the bin when filled with heavy wood may be cumbersome.
